As part of its mission to cultivate and engage each other in honest and vulnerable conversations about race, the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s Diversity and Cultural Competence Council (UF CTSI DC3) will be hosting its FINAL Black Voices in Research Storytelling Event on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. EST.
Created with the support of local storytelling event company, Guts & Glory, this unique event was created to honor the bravery and strength of the Black Voices who previously shared their stories in this series. Six members of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s Diversity and Cultural Competence Council stepped forward to pledge their commitment to advocating for change at UF and beyond. This will be shared in a live stream format via the Heartwood Soundstage.
Their pledges highlight the unique steps DC3 has taken to contribute to the University’s continuing mission to promote an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible community.
